Agent Spotlight – Q & A Session with Roger

Jul 08, 2021

With a successful background in the real estate industry since 2008, Roger understands that buying and selling property can be emotional and stressful at times, yet always an incredibly important milestone in people's lives.

How did you end up in the real estate industry?

I was applying for a Property Manager’s position in 2007 – when I was interviewed they suggested I was much better suited to Sales.

What do you love about working for Sparrow?

I have worked for a lot of the so-called' “big brands” for many years, but I love working for Sparrow as it's a small boutique agency and we are transparent when it comes to the big questions – Fees and Marketing. It's a really ideal set up, as we offer everything to our clients that other agencies do with-out the super high fees.

What do you love about Brisbane?

That it's still a growing and evolving city. We have the Queens Wharf, Cross River Rail and still so much more infrastructure happening. Exciting times for Brisbane’s future to come.

What's your favourite property you sold?

That would be 34a Nettleton Cres, Moorooka. I sold this property 6 years ago and in January I received a phone call out of the blue from the owners wanting to sell. It was a privilege to be able to sell the home again and work with this wonderful couple. We also ended up achieving $20k more than expected – it really was a smooth process.

How do you stand out from the crowd, what makes you different?

I am an honest person in my day to day life and I think this must come through when I deal with buyers and sellers. I earn people's trust very quickly and enjoy my job very much.
